Every year, princes and processes arrive at Mrs.Pa's Haven for Magical Pets to pick the perfect pet. Princess Ava has her heart set on a unicorn, but when she arrives late, there are none left...only a Pugicorn! He's short. He's hairy. He can't gallop Gracefully or leap over rainbows-- instead, he likes digging holes and chasing cats. He's definitely NOT what Princess Ava had in mind for a pet. Can a princess and Pugicorn ever become best friends? This fun-filled story reminds readers to accept others....just the way they are!

The illustrations in this book were created digitally. I love that the cover of the book has texture to it! Every page is jammed-packed with color. The detail on every page is fantastic. 

I chose art as my content and  1st-3rd as my grades. I would incorporate this book by asking the children if they thought there was a lesson behind the story. Explain the lesson behind the story to them, then proceed to give them a hand-out that's asking the question, " Why is so important to accept others?"
